Our Manifesto: Jewelry with Purpose

40% OF PROFITS GO TO THE ARTISANS

We are not just in the business of beauty—we are in the business of change.

Every piece we create is a quiet rebellion against fast fashion, thoughtless consumption, and cultural erasure. Our brand stands as a bridge between continents, between craftsmanship and consciousness, between heritage and hope.

  • Step 1

Each piece is designed in Oslo, Norway -  inspired by the rich heritage of West Africa. We make sure they capture both traditions.

  • Step 2

The designs are sent to our skilled craftsmen in Senegal, where they are carefully handcrafted.

  • Step 3

After being carefully polished, the jewelry is inspected for durability and then sent back to Norway.

FAQ

Is brass safe for skin? Will it turn my skin green?

Yes, brass is perfectly safe for most skin types—and we only use nickel-free brass, which is gentler on sensitive skin.

Like many natural metals, brass can sometimes leave a faint green mark if your skin is more acidic. But don’t worry—it’s completely harmless, easy to wash off, and a sign that you’re wearing the real thing!

Most of our customers wear our pieces every day with no issues—and they love how the brass warms to their skin over time, creating a beautiful, lived-in glow.

Pro tip: To reduce the chances of hurting your skin, avoid wearing brass jewelry in water or during heavy sweating, and wipe it dry after use.

Will your jewelry irritate my skin?

Most customers experience no irritation. If you're highly sensitive, applying a little clear nail polish to the inside of the piece (for earrings) can act as a gentle barrier.

I am not African. Can I wear your jewelry?

Of course!
Our Afro-Scandi aesthetic celebrates cultural connection—not imitation.
By wearing our jewelry, you're not just making a style statement—you’re supporting fair trade, sustainable practices, and African craftsmanship. It’s cultural appreciation, not appropriation.

How do I care for my jewelry?

To keep your piece looking great:

  • Avoid water or directly spraying perfume on it
  • Store is in a dry place, preferable a pouch
  • Use a soft cloth to brighten it up whenever necessary

If you don't find what you're looking for, we're just a message away.
